The West-Central Railway Zone (Headquartered in Jabalpur) has become the first Zone in our Railways to eliminate each and every unmanned level crossing from its system. All such manned crossings were eliminated by 31st August, 2015. Out of total 118 unmanned level crossings falling on West-Central Railways as on 1st April, 2014, 80 were eliminated in between 1st April 2014, and 31st March 2015.
