The Income tax department continued inspection of documents at the house of Chief Minister’s close aide Chikkarayappa. A cash worth crores in new currency was found at his resident. He is the managing director of Kaveri Nigam and it is said that the I-T department officials conducted raids at various places across Bengaluru early Wednesday morning. The officials inspected the documents for close to 9 hours at Chikkarayappa’s house in Dollar’s colony. He has now been taken into custody. A lot of speculations has raised over the cash found at Karnataka CM’s close aide’s resident and this is suspected to be the result of the kick back Chikkarayappa could have received in the recent tender allotment.
