Live Video: Election Commission Announces Dates for Five States

The Election Commission today announced the dates and phases of elections for 5 states – Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa. Assembly elections for Uttar Pradesh were held in 7 phases in 2012. Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi made the announcements.

All five states will go to elections in one go. CEC announcing the schedule of elections.

Uttar Pradesh: February 11 (first phase), February 15 (second phase), February 19 (third phase), February 23 (fourth phase), February 27 (fifth phase), March 4 (sixth phase), March 8 (seventh phase)

Manipur: March 4 (first phase), March 8 (second phase)

Goa: February 4th 2017(single phase)

Punjab: February 4th 2017(single phase)

Uttarakhand: February 15th 2017(single phase)

Results for all Five States will be given on March 11th 2017
