Just after the Jodhpur sessions court sentenced Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for five years of jail after being found guilty of killing a blackbuck, Kapil hit the micro-blogging site twitter to support him. However while supporting Salman, Kapil made a series of tweets in very vulgar language that were mostly targeted at the media.
The ace comedian has been involved in one after another controversy since last year. Kapil Sharma who was once being perceived by many as the next big thing of Indian television and cinema has been on a downfall ever since he physically assaulted his co-worker and fellow comedian Sunil grover on a flight from Australia.
Rumors are also high that Kapil’s new show titled ‘the family time with Kapil’ may go off-air prematurely due to low ratings. Kapil Sharma’s new show was reportedly slated for 26 episodes but following unimpressive ratings of the show, the makers are planning to crop out as many as 6-9 episodes, stated a report in DNA. The show host and the makers are currently on a disagreement over promotional strategies for the show.
The producers wanted Kapil to address the media ahead of the show’s premiere while he advised them otherwise. “They wanted Kapil to hold a press conference, but he asked them for time. He told them he will address the media after a couple of episodes are aired,” DNA quoted a source as saying.
