After BMC action on Kangana Ranaut’s office, man gifts lipstick to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray

After the partial demolition of Kangana Ranaut’s Mumbai based office by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Chief Minister of the state, Uddhav Thackeray has now been conferred with the gift of a lipstick. Yuvraj Pokharna, a Surat based social activist has sent a lipstick to Shiv Sena supremo and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray as a sign of protest against the BMC action.

A lipstick was purchased using online shopping platform Amazon and has been shipped to Uddhav Thackeray’s residence in Matoshri. As per screenshots shared by the purchaser on twitter, the delivery is set to reach Thackeray’s residence by Monday.

Speaking exclusively to Satyavijayi, Yuvraj Pokharna said that lipstick symbolizes the woman power and so he decided to send it to Uddhav Thackeray. “The way Kangana Ranaut’s office was attacked is most unfortunate and is an assault on all the women in the country. I’ve sent a lipstick CM of Maharashtra which signifies female power,” he said.

The BMC on Wednesday demolished parts of the Pali Hill based offices of the actress, citing violations and irregularities within a notice of just 24 hours. This came at a time when the actress was away from Mumbai.

The sudden move, which came in the backdrop of a brewing dispute between Kangana Ranaut and Shiv Sena. The entire fiasco began after Kangana Ranaut questioned the law and order situation in Mumbai and compared the city’s circumstances with that of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. This met with harsh response from ruling Shiv Sena, who not only resorted to name calling but even started fanning regionalist rhetoric against Kangana who has her origin in Himachal Pradesh.

Things took an even uglier turn with Shiv Sena ruled BMC demolishing parts of Kangana Ranaut’s office. The entire premises would have been razed to ground had the High court not intervened to put a stay order till further hearing.
