After CBI sources, now top AIIMS doctor who re-evaluated Sushant Singh Rajput post-mortem says he has committed “suicide”

After re-evaluating the post-mortem reports of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, an India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel led by Dr. Sudhir Gupta has confirmed suicide as the cause of his death and ruled out all speculations of a murder.

This comes a month after senior journalist Sumit Kumar Singh who is with IANS, quoted a senior CBI officer as saying that ‘it is a suicide case, and that the victim was suffering from suicide.’

The findings of the AIIMS medical board concurs with the findings of Cooper Hospital, where Sushant Singh Rajput’s autopsy was conducted. Further, the circumstantial evidences also point it to be a case of suicide, with no foul play.

Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family’s lawyer, Vikas Singh, had claimed that as per an AIIMS doctor, the cause of the actor’s death was “200% strangulation”.

Vikas Singh had said, “Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to murder of SSR [Sushant Singh Rajput]. The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide.”

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. The Mumbai Police had called it a case of suicide and had filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) the same day, after which they began investigating the case. The post-mortem report of the actor had also stated asphyxia due to hanging as the cause of death.
