Akhilesh urges Big-B to not campaign for ‘donkeys of Gujarat’

In a veiled attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amitabh Bachchan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has urged the bollywood star to not promote ‘donkey’s of Gujarat’.

Bachchan has been the brand ambassador of Gujarat tourism for a long period of time. He appears in an advertisement promoting Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary in Little Rann of Kutch in the Gujarat.

Gujarat is also home state of Modi, so in a way he is asking Bachchan to not support the PM .

War of words and between BJP and SP has become a commonplace in the ongoing campaigns for the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. Attempting to corner Akhilesh over SP candidate and former minister Gayatri Prajapati’s rape case, the BJP on Monday accused the Uttar Pradesh chief minister of ‘campaigning for the criminals’. Third of the seven phase elections in UP concluded on Sunday in which 61 percent polling was recorded. 69 constituencies went to the polls in this phase which is considered crucial for SP.

In 2012 assembly polls, SP had won 55 of the 69 seats in this region.
