Congress party seems to have lost it against Arnab Goswami, ever since the journalist blamed their President Sonia Gandhi for the lynching of two Hindu saints and their driver in Maharashtra’s Palghar.
During a live television show, Goswami alleged that Sonia Gandhi is probably happy with the incident. He further went on to claim that the Congress President would now write to her home nation in Italy saying that her party has already started persecuting Hindus in one state where it came into power. He said she would be applauded back for this letter by her home nation.
Ever since the show aired, Congress party has reacted strongly to the remarks made by the anchor. Youth Congress has already announced that they are mulling legal action against the journalist. Congress Party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala also reacted strongly.
Let PM remember that Smt. Sonia Gandhi has spent over 50 years of life in India, serving the country & being a witness to sacrifice of her mother in law & husband.
But your favourite abusive anchors won’t bat an eyelid before hurling filth.
Silence is acquiescence, Mr. PM! pic.twitter.com/QmTt5n3Imf

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot urged Republic news network Co-owner Rajeev Chandrasekhar to sack Goswami.
“Attack on mrs Sonia Gandhi by Arnab Goswami is highly condemnable. He has gone insane and crossed all limits, he should be ashamed of himself . I must ask the Editors guild – isn’t this all time low for journalism ? Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar must sack him immediately,” wrote Gehlot.
However, he met with a rather disappointing reply from Chandrasekhar, who informed him that nobody can sack Arnab Goswami, because he owns Republic.
Earlier this week, Goswami resigned from the Editors guild of India during live show over the silence of the organisation on the Palghar lynching.
