Bengal sculptor makes wax statue of Sushant Singh Rajput, fans lavish praises

Solidifying the memory of late Sushant Singh Rajput, a sculptor from West Bengal’s Asansol has made a Madame Tussauds like wax statue of the actor. Susanta Ray, the sculptor inaugurated the statue on Thursday in his Asansol based museum.

The statue of Sushant Singh, which looks exactly like him, features the actor in a denim jacket standing with his arm leaning on a chair. The museum is open to all and any fan of the actor can visit it to click photos. This is Ray’s tribute to the late actor who died under mysterious circumstances on June 14.

The statue which minutely resembles Rajput earned praises from his fans on social media.

This comes a few weeks after some fans of the actor demanded a statue for him in London’s famous wax statue museum, Madame Tussauds.

While Susanta Ray, wants to keep this statue for his own museum in Asansol, he is willing to make another one for the grieving family of the deceased actor in Bihar, if they wish.

Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput, Roy told ANI, “I liked him a lot, it is sad that he passed away. I have made this statue for my museum. However, if his family requests for his statue I’ll make a new one.”

Susanta has made a lot of wax statues for his museum. The veteran sculptor, who has been making wax figurines for quite some years, has made statues of Virat Kohli and Amitabh Bachchan. He has also immortalised people like Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore. All the visitors of the museum also have the opportunity of getting a photograph with the statues of Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shah Rukh Khan among others.
