The case against former Delhi law minister Jitender Tomar has been brewing since before his election as an MLA, as a writ petition was filed before the Delhi High court on February 4 2015, stating that Tomar had given “false information” in his affidavit at the time of filing his nomination. The high court had issued notices to Tomar, the Bar council of India (BCI) and the Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) on the plea filed by advocate Santosh Kumar Sharma. In his plea, Sharma claimed that Tomar had submitted a “fake and bogus” undergraduate degree in science from Avadh University to get enrolled in the Bishwanath Singh Institute of Legal Studies College. He was enrolled as a lawyer by the BCD on the basis of a law degree from this college.
Then Delhi Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was arrested on charges of cheating and fraud in obtaining his law degree, a development that immediately triggered a strong attack by the ruling AAP in delhi against Centre calling it political vendetta.
But today, its crystal clear, The university from Bihar, who issued LLB degree to Tomar has revoked the same stating it fake. Below is the confirmation regarding the same.
