Central forces may indulge in dirty games, no one will be spared: TMC leader Anubrata Mandal threatens Central forces just weeks before Loksabha polls

In a shocking video, Notorious TMC leader and President of the party’s unit in West Bengal’s Birbhum District is seen threatening the officers of Central reserve forces in West Bengal. Suggesting that the central forces may indulge in “dirty games” during the Loksabha polls starting next month, Mandal threatens that they would not be “spared.”

“Central forces have come to conduct the polls, treat everyone equally. Don’t do flattery of Mr. Modi,” Anubrata Mandal is heard saying in the video. “We know, Central forces may indulge in dirty games, don’t be afraid, we will fight, we will fight according to the laws, no one will be spared,” he further adds.

Anubrata Mandal alias Keshto, is a “Bahubali” politician of West Bengal, known for yielding absolute control over the Birbhum district and surrounding areas. He often remains embroiled in controversy due to his provocative and inflammatory speeches, calling for violence against opposition parties and leaders.

During the panchayat elections of July 2013, he had publicly encouraged Trinamool supporters to hurl bombs at the police and torch down the houses of independent candidates. Less than a week after Mandal made that speech, independent candidate Sagar Ghosh was shot and killed at his home in the village of Parui; the victim’s family claimed that Mandal was involved.

Trinamool Congress, ever since coming to power of West Bengal, has had reservations with polls being conducted under the supervision of Central forces. Though, prior to capturing the throne of West Bengal, they had been strong advocates for the same.
