Digvijay Singh shares Pakistan picture as Madhya Pradesh metro

General Secretary of the Indian National Congress party’s All India Congress Committee, Digvijaya Singh, on Sunday shared an old photograph of a shoddily constructed metro pillar from Pakistan and claimed it was from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Not to forget Digvijay Singh has served as the ninth Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Digvijay Singh tweet in Hindi reads as, “This is one poles of the bridge built over Subhash Nagar railway crossing in Bhopal. The bridge is not completed but already has cracks in it, raising questions over its quality. How is this happening when this is taking place under the guidance of a BJP leader? (Hope that) the accident that took place in Varanasi is not repeated here.”

Social Media users were quick enough to understand that the image is not of Bhopal, as the same photo was earlier shared in 2016 and 2017 as Delhi Metro and Hyderabad Metro respectively.

The image used is of Pakistan, Rawalpindi to Islamabad Metro line from July 2016. Bharatiya Janata Party has now also accused Digvijay Singh of taking Pak’s help to malign Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s image

Digvijay Singh as expected was trolled for this incorrect tweet.

But the biggest nightmare for Digvijay Singh came true as CM of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself exposed the fake news conspiracy by Digvijay Singh.

Digvijay Singh has now apologised after the backlash, but it seems that the damage has already been done.
