Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis announces 500 free WiFi hotspots in Mumbai

09 Jan, Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Twitter announced that 1st Phase of Mumbai Public WiFi programme has been completed. He added that 500 WiFi public hotspots will be going live in Mumbai soon.

Adding in his earlier tweets, He said Mumbai WiFi will be India’s largest public WiFi service and one of the globally too.

A link was also provided for users to search their nearest hotspot.

Fadnavis also announced that 1200 WiFi hotspots will be active by 1st May, 2017.

Fadnavis also laid emphasis on his government’s commitment towards Digital Maharashtra.

Ironically, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had promised free WiFi in Delhi before getting a historical mandate of 67 seats from 70 but its’s Mumbai at the moment getting free WiFi.
