The girl’s father, who owns a playschool in Sahibabad, told that the girl had stolen more than Rs 1 lakh from her home in the past one year to pay the accused who was extorting her.
“Three to four months after my daughter got enrolled in the dance academy, I noticed that small sums of money were getting stolen from my wallet almost daily. I began locking up my wallet inside an almirah thereafter,” said the girl’s father.
“The accused lured her and raped her a few days ago. He also recorded the act with his mobile phone and threatened the girl to upload it on social networking websites and started demanding money,” said Rajesh Kumar, the circle officer of Sahibabad.
The police said that after blackmailing the victim, the accused duped her with lakhs of rupees and kept on raping her for many days. His parents also were also party to the blackmailing. When the accused teacher began frequently demanding sexual favors and asked for more money, she told her ordeal to her neighbour’s driver, who told about the incident to her parents.
“The matter came to light when girl’s parents were informed about the incident and the video clip by her neighbour’s driver who then informed police about the matter. On the basis of the girl’s complaint, an FIR was immediately registered and the police started their investigation. On Wednesday morning, a raid was conducted and the accused was arrested from his residence” added Kumar.
