He takes bath after taking my name, but he doesn’t take bath after campaigning for Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur: Digvijay Singh responds to Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s jibe

The political discourse is continuously hitting a new low with each passing day. A few days back, senior BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan had said that he has stopped uttering the name of Congress leader Digvijay Singh, otherwise he needs to take a bath after each time.

Now responding to the remark Digvijay Singh has said ” Shivraj has been saying these days that he would not take my name otherwise he would have to take bath. But he doesn’t take bath every time he campaigns for Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the BJP candidat from Bhopal.”

Bhopal has turned out to be one of the key contests in Lok Sabha Elections 2019 with the Bharatiya Janata Party deciding to field Sadhvi Pragya from the Madhya Pradesh capital against Digvijaya Singh. The BJP has invited criticism for fielding Pragya, who is still an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case.

Some of the parties have gone to the extent of slamming BJP for giving a ticket to a person who was a “terror accused”.

Bhopal goes to vote on May 12, in the sixth phase of the 2019 General Elections. The Lok Sabha voting in Madhya Pradesh comes just months after Assembly Elections that saw the BJP government of Shivraj Singh Chouhan lose power after three consecutive terms in office.
