Hindu Mahasabha Tamil Nadu state general secretary hacked to death in full public view

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha Tamil Nadu state general secretary Shri Nagaraj was hacked to death in full public view on November 22 morning. So far, no arrests have been made. BJP leaders staged protests demanding arrests of assailants.

Nagaraj was out on his usual morning walk when a six man gang arrived in a car and started attacking him. In a bid to save his life, Nagaraj tried to run away. But assailants chased and hacked him to death. The brutal incident happened in full public view on Sunday morning, at 8.30 am near his residence at Hanumanth Nagar in Hosur.

The organiser quoted local sources as saying that Nagaraj endured heavy injuries on his face, hands, legs and abdomen. An eye witness called the police who rushed Nagaraj to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Superintendent of Police Bandi Gangadhar said that a special team was formed to nab the killers. He said the reason behind the murder was not known. Police are probing in all angles, including political or religious or business rivalry angle.

Nagaraj is survived by his wife Manjula, a son and three daughters.
