Hindus forced to flee from the constituency of Mamata Banerjee’s nephew amid communal violence, hatred allegedly being spewed from Mosques

According to reports from several sources, Hindus are being forced to flee from various areas of Diamond Harbour city of South 24 Parganas District.

Videos showing local people of Diamond Harbour fleeing from their houses area making rounds on social media sites such as Facebook and twitter. The locals have alleged that ever since the beginning of the month of Ramadan, clerics from Mosques are spewing venom against Hindu population and instigating violence.

In this video allegedly from Diamond Harbour, clear violence can be seen at a distance with slogans of “Allah hu Akbar” coming from background.

In another video, terrorised Hindus of the area can be seen fleeing with their families.

As per BJP sources, on the night of May 11, a section of people, all belonging to the Hindu community, were isolated. Their homes and shops were vandalised, and they were attacked.
Interestingly, these people who were attacked are supporters of both TMC as well as BJP.

Violence flared up again last night and went on till this morning. Police were initially not allowed to enter into the village and control the situation. However, when police, along with Rapid Action Force personnel, entered into the area, they came under attack, leaving some of them injured.

The current MP of Diamond Harbour Loksabha is Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee. It is being alleged that husband of a local TMC leader is associated with the violence against Hindus. Media has allegedly been barred from entering the locality.
