“Criticise Us, Abuse Us, but please come and watch Indian Football team play,” this was the emotional plea from Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri on twitter, just ahead of the game of India Vs Kenya in the 2018 Intercontinental Cup. The earlier game between India Vs Chinese Taipei, India defeated the visitors 5-0 in front of a sparse crowd at Mumbai Football Arena.
But things were a going to be a little different this time and our Indian Football Team were in for a treat. Popular Mumbai-based YouTuber, Nikunj Lotia, (Be YouNick) booked an entire stand and asked the fans to come in.

And much like what Nikunj had expected, the fans of the Blue Tigers were there and they ensured that their team were motivated to a thrilling victory. The atmosphere was completely electrified.

Not only were did fans come to watch the Blue Tigers on the field, but twitter was filled with wishes for the Indian Football team.

The Indian Captain, Sunil Chhetri, in his 100th international match, scored a brace to lead India to a 3-0 win over Kenya at Mumbai Football Arena on Monday. “If this is the kind of turnout that is going to come to watch us, we can give our lives on the pitch,” an emotional Chhetri said after the match.
Taking to Twitter, the skipper also said. “We promise you that if that’s the kind of support we get every time we play for the country, we will give our lives on the pitch. India, this night was special because we were in this together. Those in the stands shouting, and the ones at home cheering – thank you!”
