Jharkhand: Police demands CBI probe in child trafficking case

Aditional Director General (ADG) Law and order Jharkhand, RK Mallik on Wednesday asked for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)- drove trial in child trafficking case.

He stated, “Asked for state government for a CBI request in this issue, likewise asked for that all records of Missionaries of Charity and five of its partner associations ought to be seized. We have discovered the records of 121 youngsters sold by them.”

Two nuns of Missionaries of Philanthropy were captured on July 5 on charges of trafficking underage innate young girls.

Officials from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Ranchi and the police examined the nuns at the premises of Missionaries of Charity, “Nirmal Hriday” on July 4, following which a FIR was held up on grounds of trafficking underage young tribal girls.

The Child welfare commitee of the UNICEF is investigating the issue.

The CWC in the ongoing past has been always observing the circumstance at the Missionaries of Charity.
