Well reknowened officer of Jammu and Kashmir police, Imtiyaz Hussain has urged dangal movie actress Zaira Wasim to keep her decision of quitting film industry personal, and not to bring religion into it. While respecting her decision, Imtiyaz Hussain said that Zaira can’t invoke religion to justify it.
Imtiyaz Hussain further asked whether other Muslims in the industry are some kind of sinners. Zaira in a series of tweets explaining the reasons for her decision to quit acting had said that it was deviating her from the path of Islam. Hussain culminated his tweet saying that Zaira’s decision should be seen as her own personal interpretation of religion.
“Respect choice of Zaira Wasim quitting acting in movies but she can’t invoke religion and faith to justify this. Are others in the field some kind of sinners? This dawning of new reality should be her own truth & her own interpretation of religion. Period,” Imtiyaz Hussain said.

Wasim in her social मीडिया post post said that she felt like she had struggled to become someone else for a very long time.
The actor, who in her early teens appeared in Dangal, went on to play the title role in Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar.
“As I had just started to explore and make sense of the things to which I dedicated my time, efforts and emotions and tried to grab hold of a new lifestyle, it was only for me to realise that though I may fit here perfectly, I do not belong here. This field indeed brought a lot of love, support, and applause my way, but what it also did was to lead me to a path of ignorance, as I silently and unconsciously transitioned out of ‘imaan’ (faith). While I continued to work in an environment that consistently interfered with my ‘imaan’, my relationship with my religion was threatened,” she said.
With Wasim announcing her decision to quit movies, her upcoming project The Sky is Pink, which also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar, could be her last outing in the movie world. The film completed shooting in March.
