Jammu and Kashmir leader and former chief minister Farooq Abdullah expressed his deep anger at an Indian TV anchor who asked him at a public event if he considers himself as Indian.
“Do you consider yourself as an Indian,” asked Punya Prasun Bajpai of Hindi TV channel Aaj Tak at a program here on Friday. National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah remained silent for a few seconds looking into the face of the anchor. The audience mistook that he is looking for answer and began clapping at the question of the anchor. But when the Kashmir leader began roaring at the anchor, there was a pin-drop silence in the huge hall.
News channel Aaj Tak organised Agenda Aaj Tak 2017 and Farooq Abdullah, the former chief minister of Jammu & Kashmir, also attended it. He was interviewed by news anchor Punya Prasun Bajpai.
Media is said to be the fourth pillar of democracy and it is the duty of mediapersons to ask questions to those in power on the behalf of common public.
