As of current trends several high profile names in this year’s Lok Sabha elections are trailing. This include Two time Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor, who is up against BJP’s Kummanam Rajasekharan, and CPI leader Kanhaiya Kumar from Beguserai, who is contesting against BJP’s Giriraj Singh and last but certainly not the least.
Congress candidate from Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat Shashi Tharoor claims he is going to win with the huge majority based on ground assessment against BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan. “It will be clear in 3-4 hours,” he says.
Although exit polls are often inaccurate, but as many as 13 exit polls have projected absolute majority to the BJP-led NDA some days ago. If exit polls numbers hold true, the BJP is likely to make big gains in many key states including, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha, while opposition parties including the Congress failed to capitalise on the anti-incumbency against the Modi government.
