Legal notice issued against Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac for hurting Hindu sentiments

A legal notice has been issued against CPIM leader and Kerala, Finance Minister, Thomas Isaac for hurting religious sentiments of Ayyappa devotees and Hindus. In a Facebook post, Isaac had dubbed the ‘Ayyappa mantra’, as abusive chants. Thomas Isaac had also insulted the Namajapa (name chanting) protest, calling it ‘Abhasa Samaram’, a vulgar protest.

The notice demands unconditional apology from the Minister, within two days from the receipt of the letter. The notice demands that the apology should be published in media and it must be pinned on the Minister’s Facebook page for a period of one year.

It also demands a sum of 10 crore rupees from the Minister, as compensation for the development of Sabarimala Sannidhanam. However, the notice clarifies that legal action would still be taken, even if all the listed demands are met.
