Luxury cruise services along Ganga in Varanasi starting next week: Report

The first ever luxury cruise is about to start in Varanasi, PM Modi’s constituency. The cruise will be introduced in the Uttar Pradesh city on August 15. Called Alaknanda, the luxury cruise has been developed by a Kolkata-based company.

It recently underwent trial. From August 15 onwards, people of Varanasi will be able to set out on a luxurious cruise in the Ganga River.

The cruise service is completely air-conditioned. Interestingly, events such as grand parties as well as seminars can be organized on this luxury cruise.

The luxury cruise can also be used for organizing corporate events. Also, audio-visual systems can be operated on its wall.

Called Alaknanda, the vessel is about 30-meter long and has two decks. It can accommodate around 100 passengers in one go and has modern facilities like bio-toilets and WiFi which will be available for free.
