Madhur Bhandarkar, a highly successful Bollywood filmmaker, slammed Kashyap for his ‘protest’ of tweeting and expressing his oppose nature towards the ban on Karan Johar’s upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as it stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
Anurag Kashyap, a controversial Bollywood filmmaker, in his thread of tweets targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking apology for his Pakistan trip in December last year which went viral in Social Media and MSM.
In his series of tweets, he said it was the same time Johar who was also shooting for ADHM during PM Modi visit to Pakistan in December 2015.Hence, considering both the illogical connections were with Pakistan and during the same frame of time, targeting just one of them was wrong.
When Bhandarkar was asked about his reaction on Kashyap’s statements, he said, “Whatever Anurag Kashyap said is wrong, Neither BJP nor the Government issued any ban, it has become a trend to protest against Modi Ji.”
Anurag Kashyap is the latest entry in the list of film industry stars who have criticised the entire issue around Ae Dil Hai Mushkil release and banning Pak actors.
Om Puri, Shyam Benegal, Vikram Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, along with actors Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Sushant Singh Rajput have been batting for the film’s release.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead, and has Fawad Khan in a cameo. It is slated for a Diwali release, according to Karan Johar latest tweet.
