A week after a woman’s chopped body was found near Okhla Tank, police have nabbed her husband Sajid Ali Ansari (26), an unemployed engineer, and his two brothers Ishteyaque and Hasmat for the murder.
Ansari reportedly killed Juhi over a dispute on June 20. Her body was found chopped into seven pieces and packed in a cardboard box on a empty plot in Jasola Vihar the next day.

A sticker belonging to a Gurugram-based courier company on the carton in which the chopped body parts of a 27-year-old woman, now identified as Juhi, were found in southeast Delhi on June 21, led the police to her killer husband, who was then arrested on 26 june.
The police have established the identity of the woman’s husband as Sajid Ali Ansari, a mechanical engineer from a university in Kuruskhetra. His brothers were identified as Hasmat Ali Ansari and Mohammad Ishtiaq, all native of Chhapra in Bihar.
The woman, from Bihar, had fallen in love with Ansari while they were pursuing degree in Kurukshetra and married him against consent of her family.
“It was challenging for the investigating teams to identify the woman and trace her killers as there were no identification marks on the body. All evidences, including the carton, the victim’s clothes and bags collected from the spot, were studied in deatail to get the location of the killers.” said Special commissioner (law and order, south) R P Upadhyay.
When a police team reached the house of ansari, they found that he had escaped and left the keys with a neighbour. They found the woman’s bloodstained clothes inside the house.
“This became our first lead. After enquiry from locals, it was found out that Sajid’s brother Hasmat also lives in Shaheen Bagh. Sajid was grasped on Monday night from Hasmat’s house,” Mr. Biswal said.
Sajid ansari revealed during interrogation he had purchased a meat cleaver to kill her. on June 21, he intentionally struck a conversation that led to an argument after which he strangled Juhi and called Ishteyaque to help dispose the body. They took the body to the bathroom, chopped it and stuffed them in a plastic bag and grain sacks.
Sajid then called his elder brother Hasmat, who used to stay nearby, and asked him to help get rid of the chopped body. Hasmat borrowed an Ertiga car from a friend and and dump the body near Okhla.
A murder case has been registered against Sajid, while Hasmat and Ishteyaque have been booked for terminating the evidence. Juhi’s family in Bihar has been briefed. The children have been sent to a relative’s house in Champaran.
