Mandsaur Rape Case: Mother of suspect says he is innocent

The Father of the Mandsaur gangrape victim said on giving him five lakh rupees by the Madhya Pradesh government, that he wants the convict to be hanged. we do not demand any compensation from the government. The statement of the father of an eight-year-old gangrap victim came at a time when on Saturday (June 30, 2018) the Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, deposited five lakh rupees in his account.

State Women and Child Development Minister Archana Chitnis told the media that the Chief Minister has deposited five lakh rupees in the account of the father of the rape victim.

“We do not want any compensation. we just want the all accused to be hanged,” victim’s father.
“The state government would take care of girl’s education and health,” said Archana.
Several reformist from Malwa region, including Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar and Indore, have been protesting outside the collectorate to hand over memorandum in attempt of death penalty for the rapists, while the mother of the second accused said that she strongly believes that her son is innocent.

“I believe that my son is innocent. A CBI inquiry should be carried in the case. If he is found at fault, he should be seriously punished,” mother of the second suspect said.

At the same time, eight year old school girl is undergoing surgery in Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital (MYH) and her condition is improving. A senior officer of the MYH gave this information on Saturday.

The victim is admitted since the night of June 27 in the MYH of Indore, 200 km away from Mandsaur. MiH Superintendent VS Pal told reporters, “The condition of the girl is out of danger. Her health has been continuously improving.” he told that the team of specialists of the MYH doctors are keeping an eye on the health of the victim child.

The MYH Superintendent said, “We have started giving semi-solid food to the baby. The girl is fully conscious and is talking to her parents.”
