Nitish kumar has been asking the center for a special package for Bihar state of Rs. 50000 crores. In his last visit to the state, Modi told Bihar that he will not only give what he had promised during the elections of Lok Sabha 2014 but will far exceed the expectations of Biharis. Today, he has fulfilled his promise.
PM Modi has announced a special package of Rs. 1 lakh 65 thousand crores for Bihar which is divided as:
- 1,25,000 crores special package for the state
- 40,000 crores as special package earmarked for infrastructure development of Bihar
Apart from this, Modi also
- Laid foundation of 23 skill training centers in Bihar
- Launched highway projects worth Rs. 9700 crore. There will 10 roads, including a four-lane road from Buxar to Patna and a six-lane bridge at Koelwar in Arrah.
Modi also promised that unlike the previous government who has not been able to use the budget already given to the state as special package, Modi will implement this budget fully.
As a Bihari, I thank Mr. Modi for giving this package to Bihar and hope that it gets implemented properly and Bihar finally develops and reaches the potential that it has.
