#ModiAt70 – Birthday wishes pour in for PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 70th birthday today. People from across the nation have joined in wishing the Prime Minister on his birthday. From friends to political opponents to movie stars, sport persons, journalists and well wishers, everyone have extended their greetings to the Prime Minister.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu wished the Prime Minister early in the morning. The President said that PM Modi had established example of faith in India’s democratic values.


Extending his greetings to the Prime Minister, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Narendra Modi connected the deprived classes with the mainstream of development and laid foundation for a strong India.

The Home Minister further added that it is only due to the resolve of the Prime Minister that electricity, bank accounts, toilets and LPG connection could reach to the households of poor and deprived.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also extended their wishes.

From the opposition camp, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee, Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray, Communist leader and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wished the Prime Minister.

Among others, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, single Lata Mangeshkar and noble laureate Kailash Satyarthi also wished the Prime Minister.

Born on 17th September, 1950, the Prime Minister turned 70 on Thursday.
