Muslim youth disguised as Hindu vandalise Goddess Bhavani idol in Bijnor temple, accused of luring school girls by hiding real identity

The Uttar Pradesh police has detained two youth namely Adil and Yasin for vandalising a Hanuman temple and breaking the goddess idol in it at Bijnor.

As per the reports, the youth entered the temple at around 9:30am and asked the priest to apply tilak on their forehead. After this, the youth roamed around the temple for sometime before suddenly attacking to Goddess Bhavani idol placed there with stones and sticks.

Temple committee and local devotees alleged that apart from vandalising the temple, the youth also assaulted them. As soon as the information of the incident reached police station, cops including senior officials rushed to the temple to pacify the situation. Police detained both Yasin and Adil while assuring the devotees of strict action against the two.

During interrogation, the youth revealed that they were posing as Hindus to suppress their real identity as they had two Hindu girls with them. Temple committee suspect that the youth lured local Hindu school girls by suppressing their real identities.

Meanwhile, the temple committee head, Akhil Kumar Agarwal submitted a written complaint against the two youths who vandalised the temple idols and the Bijnor police are investigating the case.

A recent case of attack on Hindu temple in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk had rocked the entire nation weeks ago. The rise in attacks on Hindus temples is being believed to be alarming.
