Soon after being elected unopposed as the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Tuesday, M K Stalin vowed to take forward his father and former party chief M Karunanidhi’s legacy in his address to party workers.
The DMK’s goal, he stressed, is to dislodge the BJP government at the Centre which was weakening the country in every sphere of activity be it socio-political or others, and also the ‘spineless’ AIADMK government, which is losing “self-respect,” and “pledging the state’s rights”, said Mr Stalin in a letter to his party men at Anna Arivalayam here on Tuesday.
Warning DMK cadres of a possible simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly polls, Stalin added, “Our goal is to uproot the spineless and corrupt AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu and throw out the BJP government at the Centre that acts against principles of social justice.”
This was Stalin’s second attack on the BJP since he took over the reigns.
In his first letter after taking of charge DMK as the party president, Stalin said “The Modi government is against social justice and is a danger to national integration.”
