Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s statue smeared with ink in West Bengal

Kolkata: Just a day before the Independence day, when the entire country was busy in last minute arrangements for the Independence day celebrations, the biggest hero of freedom struggle was insulted in his own home state. In the Birbhum district of West Bengal, a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was blackened with black ink by some anti social people. The statue is situated infront of a block office. Since then people have reacted strongly on the social media, and the picture of the blackened statue is going viral on the Internet. People are furious over the insult of such an hero of the nation just a day before the independence day, and are demanding investigation on the matter.

This was not the only insult of the great leader. Just a day after the independence day, the official website of the news channel Times Now, published an article about the incident. But what made people rather angry on the media house is that, in the article it is said that some methods of Netaji in his later years raised questions, and he was a radical leader. Times Now calling, Netaji a radical leader did not went well with thousands of patriotic citizens of the country who look up to Netaji as their hero.

The administration of West Bengal must find out those who blackened the statue of the leader and should punish them. And Times Now being a media house should avoid calling great people names, specially when it is about the person, millions of people look up to for inspiration.
