Ace journalist Arnab Goswami had resigned from Times Now on November 1st. 15 days later, Times Now’s flagship show, The Newshour, was soon taken over by NewsX’s soft spoken anchor, Rahul Shivshankar, who officially joined Times Now as its new Editor-in-Chief yesterday, December 15th. Rahul announced this on twitter in the afternoon.
First Day at @TimesNow today. Look forward to your continuing support and tweets

It has been exactly a month since Arnab Goswami was seen last. During this sabbatical, Arnab had hinted time & again that he was looking to start a new media venture. Now, fresh news is that he has announced his future plans. Arnab will start a new news channel. He plans to start this on January 26th, 2017 even before UP elections. This would be called Republic.
Times Now would generate over half of its revenue from its flagship show The Newshour, which was hosted by Arnab Goswami. Times Now has remained on #1 for a very long time, its viewership far exceeding all other channels’. Such is the popularity of Arnab Goswami that several people have stopped watching Times Now since his departure.
PM Modi himself gave his first interview after becoming PM to Arnab on his show ‘Frankly Speaking’ on Times Now. Arnab was associated with Times Now for a decade. Whatever the result is, folks! The news is out – ARNAB GOSWAMI IS BACK! The game has just begun.
