Pakistani people are worse than their army, deeply anti-Hindu: Retd Wing Commander MS Grewal exposes Pakistan on Barkha’s show

Recently during journalist Barkha Dutta’s show ‘This is us’, Wing Commander MS Grewal (Retd), who had spent an entire year as a Prisoner of War (PoW) in Pakistan during the war of 1971, busted the propaganda that civilians across the border are peace-loving people.

The Airforce veteran, from his personal experience said that the civilians across the border are deeply anti-Hindu and are perhaps even more dangerous than the army of that country.

The Wing Commander pointed towards the viral video in which Pakistani civilians are seen brutally assaulting Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, whose plane had crashed on the other side of the LoC. He said that this is quite normal in Pakistan, where the civilians living along the border areas, seek opportunities to assault Indians and more specifically Hindus.

The former Wing Commander further narrated that how during his prison days, he was told all sorts of baseless things about the Hindus. He was told that Hindus never ruled over India, it was the Mughals and then the Britishers took over. Civilians hate Hindus, he said.

The Wing Commander’s bitter revelations about Pakistan and its citizens were an assault on the left-liberal narrative that Pakistan is a friendly and peace-loving nation.

Last week, Indian Airforce officer, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was taken into custody by Pakistan Army after his plane crashed into their territory during a mid-air altercation. However, due to international pressure, Pakistan was compelled to release him in less than 48 hours. The Pakistan, though, tried to project this as some kind of a ‘peace gesture’ to save its save. Unfortunately, many in India did not only buy this face saving propaganda, but started spreading it even further.
