Priyanka Gandhi has bipolar disorder and beats up people, unfit for public life: Subramanian Swamy

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy who is no stranger to bizzare claims, has once again found himself under the scanner after making several controversial remarks about Priyanka Vadra-Gandhi. Continuing the series of attacks that the BJP leaders have launched since Vadra made her formal entry into the mainstream politics, Swamy alleged that she has bipolar disorder.

‘She has a disorder of bipolarity. She beats up people. Her ailment does not make her fit to lead a public life. The public should know when she is likely to lose mental balance,’ he said in Hindi as he spoke with ANI.

This is not the first time Priyanka Gandhi has been targetted by BJP leaders after she entered active politics recently.

BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday took a swipe at the Congress party over Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s appointment as a general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh, saying that it is the dearth of strong leaders in the party which has made it dependent on “chocolatey” faces for 2019 Lok Sabha poll glory.

Bihar minister Vinod Narayan Jha recently said that votes cannot be won on the basis of beautiful faces. Jha also pointed out that she is the wife of Robert Vadra, who is accused of involvement in a land scam case and several corruption cases.

His exact words were: “She’s very beautiful. But other than that she holds no political achievement or talent.”

On January 23, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was appointed as Congress’ general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh. Lok Sabha constituencies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fall in eastern UP.

“I am very happy that my sister Priyanka will assist me in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha polls, she is very capable,” said Congress president Rahul Gandhi after Priyanka Gandhi’s appointment.
