‘Remove China Apps’ becomes highest ranked free application on play store

With India rising in protests against China following tensions at borders and people resolving to boycott products made in the Communist country, a app has now been made available for people to detect and delete China made applications from their phones. The application named ‘Remove China Apps’ has already become a success on the Google play store.

The app allows people to detect all the Chinese applications in their phone and delete them with a single click.

Since its release on May 17, the app has already garnered massive support and has crossed one million downloads in less than two weeks. It is currently the top free app available on the Google PlayStore, available for free.

Following its success, the creators have stated that they are now looking towards developing a technology to detect China-based bloatware as well in the next version of the app. Currently, the app can only be downloaded by android users.

A few days ago, Engineer turned education reformer Sonam Wangchuk posted a message on Twitter encouraging the citizens to drop the use of Chinese software “within a week”, In a message that went viral on the platform he said — “Cheen ko Jawaab, Sena degi bullet se, Naagrik dengey wallet se (Answer to China will be given by soldiers with their bullets and citizens with their wallets)”.

Following him several other celebrities also came out to make similar calls. Supermodel Milind Soman announced that he is ‘no longer on Tiktok.’ Actor Arshad Warsi also took to his Twitter handle to announce that he will ‘consciously stop using everything Chinese’. He urged people to try and also confessed that it might be difficult in the beginning, but he believes that he will be ‘Chinese free’ one day.
