The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi played politics over the death of a veteran leader of India. Delhi assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Wednesday rejected a BJP demand to pay homage to VHP leader Ashok Singhal, who died on Tuesday.
The speaker took the decision after a majority of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators opposed the demand by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s three members in the 70-seat house, the AAP tweeted.
To add insult to injury, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan called Singhal a terrorist. Remarks were expunged from the records after BJP MLAs protested.
