- Maharashtra : Fadnavis chooses 40 youth for CM Internship Program.
Maharashtra government has selected 40 youth for its unique Chief Minister Internship programme for 2015.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched the programme in state secretariat today.
He also had a conversation with the 40 candidates selected by his office through a selection process.

A disabled girl from a Delhi government school has made the country proud by clinching four medals in Special Olympics held in Los Angeles.
” Pushpa (a disabled girl) of Govt school has won 4 medals (1 silver,3 bronze) in power lifting, in Int. Spl Olympics at Los Angeles,”
- Kerala : Kerala govt to name science fest gold trophy after Dr. Kalam
The trophy will be known as A P J Abdul Kalam Gold Cup, state Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb said here in a release.
- Odisha: Vigilance sleuths to receive complaints via WhatsApp
After receiving complaints of corruption through Facebook posts, the Vigilance directorate in Odisha will expand the facility to the another social networking site, WhatsApp.
State vigilance director K B Singh said the complaints on corruption would now be received in the WhatsApp account of the directorate.
- Gujarat : Gujarat State Transport buses to be made GPS-enabled
Gujarat State Regional Transport Corporation will install GPS system in its express buses to provide real time updates to its passengers as part of its move to modernise the public transport facility.
“We will install our 2,200 express buses with Global Positioning System (GPS) system by the end of this December,” State Transport Minister Vijay Rupani said here today after inaugurating a bus depot of Gujarat State Regional Transport Corporation (GSRTC) – ‘Shreshtha Geeta Port’ along with Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel at Geeta Mandir area

- Himachal Pradesh : Himachal clears World Bank funded HP Horticulture project
It also approved formation of Society at the apex level under the HP Society Registration Act, 2006.
The Cabinet also approved creation of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to manage the Progeny cum Demonstration Orchards (PCDO’s) and the farms owned or under the possession of Horticulture and other departments
- Telangana : Telangana CM: ‘Grama Jyoti’ programme to start from August 17
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said the state government’s new programme ‘Grama Jyothi’ be started from August 17 in all villages in the state.
The programme is aimed at development of villages in the state.
Rao, who held a review on the programme with officials, said development plans will be prepared in every village for the coming four years, a release from his office
