The West Bengal government on Friday declassified 64 files related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The files were handed to the family members first and also kept on display in a police museum in Kolkata. Here are the 10 key things that these files say about Netaji:
- Gujarat : Gujarat tops ease of doing business ranking among states
Gujarat topped a World Bank-compiled ranking of Indian states for bringing in reforms to improve ‘ease of doing business’. The western Indian state, three other BJP ruled states and one led by a party ally occupied the top five places on the list, which also highlights the poor state of business environment in a large number of states.

- Maharashtra : Pune man develops SOFC generator fueled by biogas
A Pune-based entrepreneur has developed a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) generator fueled by biogas that can be used for domestic as well as commercial purposes.
Siddharth Mayur, founder president of h2e Power Systems Inc, developed the generator using biogas produced by the breakdown of organic material like waste from fields in absence of oxygen.
- Uttar Pradesh : NaMo in Varanasi – Inaugurates Integrated Power Development Scheme
PM Narendra Modi promised Rs 572 crores towards developing the power infrastructure in Varanasi while inaugurating the Integrated Power Development Scheme in the city. According to PM Modi’s speech, Varanasi will soon be connected by a Ring Road, and the “personal sector” will get a big boost. PM Modi also promised to look into the Shiksha Mitras issue, in which lakhs of contractual teachers in Uttar Pradesh have been left unemployed.
