1) Government to Develop Bodhgaya as Spiritual Capital: PM Modi
Describing Bodhgaya as the “land of enlightenment,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said his government would develop the site as the spiritual capital for it to serve as a civilisational bond between India and the Buddhist world.
“I recognise how Buddhists all over the world revere Bodhgaya as a place of pilgrimage. We in India would like to develop Bodhgaya so that it can become the spiritual capital and civilisational bond between India and the Buddhist world.
2) PM inaugurates Badarpur-Faridabad Metro Line, Declares OROP in his speech in Haryana
The Prime Minister travelled from Central Delhi to Faridabad, and back, by metro. In the course of the journey, he interacted with several people, especially youth, who were also travelling on board the metro train.
3) Haryana government for reservation to economically backward: Manohar Lal Khattar
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the government was willing to support the financially weak people from all the communities, and wants to provide equal opportunity to each and every person of the society.
“In the last 11 days, he was actively involved in three counter-terrorism operations in the Kashmir Valley in which 10 terrorists have been eliminated and one captured alive,” Udhampur-based Defence Spokesman Colonel S D Goswami said.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Saturday said the first phase of the SmartCity project, which will be home to knowledge-based companies, will be inaugurated in December this year.
After reviewing progress of the project at the 45th Board of Directors meeting at SmartCity Pavilion at Kakkanad about 18 km from here, he also said the second phase of the project would be launched in the same month.
