Tanmay Bhatt responds to Gautam Gambhir on National Anthem Verdict

Do you remember Tanmay Bhatt who was in the news for his controversial statements and video on Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar?

Tanmay Bhatt, one of the founders of the popular stand-up group, All India Bakc**d (AIB), has been on a roll in recent times.

According to the latest news, Comedian Tanmay Bhatt took a dig on Gautam Gambhir.

The Supreme Court of India passed a verdict that not standing in the theatre during the National Anthem cannot be considered a legal offence.

Gambhir took to Twitter to express his disappointment with the SC verdict on National Anthem by drawing parallels between standing outside a restaurant for a table and standing in a theatre for the national anthem. Here’s what he wrote.

Gambhir, a true son of the soil, who has led his country to many a glorious moment, couldn’t be more of a crowd favourite on Twitter with this one patriotic post.

And then came comedian Tanmay Bhat, had to find fault in his theory. And he was quick to point out the drawback to Gambhir’s argument.

See, how people reacted to it.

Gambhir, who is always vocal about issues regarding India’s armed forces, had announced earlier in the year that his foundation would pay for all the education expenses for children of 25 CRPF personnel martyred in an attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s south Sukma.
