If you happen to live in or around Delhi, then gear up for one of year’s biggest TED events. TEDxHansraj College, promises to catch entire Delhi’s eyeballs, when it takes place on 1st of September. The day long event will bring in stalwarts from various fields such as sports, journalist, acting, singing, social activism, civil services, photography and fashion designing, under one roof.
Here is the list of speakers who will be present at TEDxHansraj Collage, to share their stories and ideas.
Sushil Kumar. A freestyle Wrestler. The only Indian Wrestler thus far to have won medals in two different Olympic event. Also a world champion in 2010, Kumar has proven himself to be one of best India has ever produced in the field of wrestling.
Tina Dabi. An IAS officer. She secured rank 1 in 2015 IAS exam and became the first ever woman from the SC community to do so.
Anurag Batra. Annurag Batra is a serial entrepreneur, media mogul, a journalist and an eternal optimist rolled into one. He is currently serving as the Chairman and editor-in-chief for Business world.
Anshuman Tiwari. A former associate editor of Dainik Jagran and a recipient of India’s highest journalist honor, the Ramnath Goenka award for investigative journalism. He currently serves as an editor at India today.
Shibani Kashyap. A Bollywood singer, Kashyap’s first shot at fame came when she sang the signature tunes for Air FM and Amul India. She has also been judge at a television reality show named the Bathroom singer.
Vicky Roy. An internationally acclaimed photographer. Hailing from a poor family in Purukia, West Bengal, Roy’s journey to becoming one of India’s top photographers is awe-inspiring.
Kamla Bhasin. An developmental feminist activist, poet, author and social scientist. Bhasin’s work, that began in 1970, focuses on gender, education, human development and the media.She lives in New Delhi, India. She is best known for her work with Sangat – A Feminist Network and for her poem Kyunki main ladki hoon, mujhe padhna hai. Shruti Rao Rathore. An animal rights activist and a fashion designer. She claims to be India’s first vegan fashion designer, who doesn’t use leather, animal fur, wool or silk in her products.
Also the event will feature performances from rising comedian, Tanmay Tandon and ‘cheap thrills’ sensation Tanya Chamoli and many more. Overall with the jam-packed lineup of high profile speakers with inspirational stories and exciting performances, TEDxHansraj Collage is all set to be an event to be remembered.
