Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo, Lalu Prasad Yadav has finally found a match for his elder son: Tej Pratap Yadav. Tej Pratap Yadav, an elected leader from Mahua had joined Nitish Kumar’s cabinet as the health minister. He will be marrying Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of Daroga Rai, the former chief minister who ruled in 1970.
Tej Pratap Yadav informed the press that his parents were instrumental in fixing their alliance and it is with their grace and blessings that the function will be solemnised. The couple will exchange rings in a lavish ceremony at Hotel Maurya on April 18 while the marriage is scheduled for May 12. Aishwarya Rai, the daughter of Chandrika Rai, is an MBA graduate from a private university in Noida. Chandrika Rai shared the cabinet with Tej Pratap Yadav when the Mahagathbandhan was in power in Bihar.

Chances of the RJD supremo, Lalu Prasad Yadav, attending the ring ceremony appear slim as he is currently lodged in jail for his alleged role in the fodder scam. The Jharkhand High Court had denied him bail and had fixed the next date of hearing on April 20.
Remembering the exchange of verbal jibes with deputy chief minister Sushil Modi when his son’s marriage was fixed in December last year, Tej Pratap said, “All is past now. I will invite both chacha Nitish and uncle Sushil Modi.”
