The Indian Railways all set to conduct its first computer-based recruitment test for over 26,500 vacancies

Computer-based examination for Indian railways will be conducted on August 9, embarking its first stage.

Total time of the exam will be 60 minutes, while differently-abled candidates are to be provided with an additional ten minutes to complete it.
Containing a total 75 questions, all will be of multiple choice question (MCQs) category and for each incorrect answer, there will 1/3rd negative marking.

The mock link for the first stage will be activated by Railway on July 26 and the e-call letter can be downloaded by the candidates from the recruitment board website four days prior to the exam, Informs Rajesh Dutt Bajpai, Director, Information and Publicity, Ministry of Railways.

Railway further mentions in its notice that Candidates can log in with their credentials on the above-mentioned dates through the link to be provided on the official websites of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for knowing their exam city, date, session and download travel authority.

Around 47.56 lakh candidates have applied for the jobs and online exam will be held for 26.502 vacancies of assistant loco pilots and technicians.

“We would like to appeal to all candidates to refer to the official websites of Railway Recruitment Boards for all relevant information and not fall prey to the messages circulated on social media,” a Railways spokesperson told The Indian Express.

The spokesperson further added, “Beware of touts and job racketeers as we recruit only on merit and the names of all shortlisted candidates will be published on the official websites of RRBs.”
