Who do you think should actually be given control of Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple?

Ever since the vaults in Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple were opened in 2011, a section of Mainstream Media intellectuals have been calling for using the wealth of temple for public welfare. They have also been defaming the Royals for keeping this wealth protected as a secret. While these intellectuals have been making such calls under the garb of secularism, they become quiet on forcible conversions through wealth by the largest owner of non-agricultural land in Bharat called Church.

Paanchajanya, a keen follower of the series of events that has been transpiring at Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, has written several articles exposing how the State Government allegedly wanted to take control of the temple’s wealth.

In one of the articles written by Lekshmy Rajeev in Times of India, we see her views about temple rituals and privileges given to the Maharaja of Travancore. Paanchajanya, in one of his recent articles, exposed the mindset of a section of the society who blatantly wanted the State Government to take over the temple.

In this article he explains, “Mr. Shashi Tharoor used to support the Royals in this issue. But those close to him now are attacking the Royals and he seems to be entertaining it as well. Example, Lekshmi Rajeev and Manu Pillai are close to Tharoor.”

The one thing which is missing here is to know the view of ordinary people over this incident. In order to get an opinion, a twitter poll was conducted and the results were found to be pretty much in favor of the Royals & Tantri rather than the State or Central Governments.
