To boost the housing sector, Chhatisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel proposes “Single-window system” for all permissions that builders require

In a bid to boost the housing sector in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed to set up a “single-window system” for all sorts of permissions and certificates required for construction of colonies and township development.

Recently, Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) had called on Chief Minister and raised problems being faced by them for developing housing colonies and township. They pointed out how developers have to face difficulties in obtaining permissions and certificates from different departments. This takes a lot of time, while escalating the rate of total project.

This made the CM to think on an alternative system. The single window system will be set up in premises of office of collector where revenue, urban administration and town planning and other concerned department will deal with the application. Chief Minister has directed the housing and environment department to issue a detailed order within a month.

Once the new system comes into effect, the builders will have to submit their application in a single window from where it would be directed to all the concerned departments.
