Tweet war between Smriti Irani and Rahul Gandhi: He took on Modi govt; here is what she did

Tweet war has broken out between two political Leaders – one is from Congress and the other one is from BJP. Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles and Information & Broadcasting Smriti Irani on Saturday sarcastically took on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Smriti Irani did this by replying to a tweet by Rahul after the latter took on BJP over India’s rank in Global Hunger Index.

Here is how the entire tweet war unfolded:-

Replying to Rahul’s tweet, Smriti Irani tweeted:-

Smriti Irani slammed Rahul quoting a tweet by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda on Global Hunger Index.

“Facts vs Fiction on Global Hunger Index to enlighten people who are keen to run down our country by twisting facts, ” JP Nadda tweeted.

The entire row began over India’s rank in Global Hunger Index 2017 report.

News agency PTI on Oct 12 reported, “India has a serious hunger problem and ranks 100th out of 119 countries on the global hunger index — behind North Korea, Bangladesh and Iraq but ahead of Pakistan.”

Moreover, PTI added that the country’s serious hunger level is driven by high child malnutrition and underlines the need for stronger commitment to the social sector, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) said in its report. India stood at 97th position in last year’s rankings.
