Vivek Oberoi confirmed to essay Prime Minister Narendra Modi in biopic

It is the season of political biopics, and after former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Shivsena patriarch Balasaheb Thackeray, current Primer Narendra Modi is going to be the next to be portrayed on celluloid.

The project will be directed by Omung Kumar and it will be christened simply as, ‘PM Narendra Modi.’ Actor Vivek Oberoi, who has recently changed his name to Vivekananda, will be seen essaying the role of Prime Minster Narendra Modi. This will be Oberoi’s comeback into the film industry after years of absence.

Director Omung Kumar is regarded as an expert with biopics, having made movies on female boxing legend Mary Kom and Indian prisoner Sarbjit Singh. The shoot for the film is expected to commence from mid-January, while the the first look would be released on 7th January, Monday.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal was initially roped in to play the role of Modi, but the actor backed out due to unknown reasons. The biopic on the life of Narendra Modi was announced four years ago.
