India’s request to extradite controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik has been turned down by the Malaysian Government.
The 52 year old hate monger who is wanted in India by the NIA and ED for allegedly inciting youth to take up terror activities, giving hate speeches and promoting enmity between communities is currently in Malaysia where he has been giving permanent resident status.
His request for extradition was turned down when Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad – said “As long he is not creating any problem, we will not deport him because he has been given permanent resident status”, he said replying to the media.

The televangelist is wanted in India for terror related activities and hate speech. Zakir left India in 2016 and moved to Malaysia which has a Muslim majority.
His close aide, Aamir Gazdar, was on arrested yesterday by the Enforcement Directorate on charges of money laundering. Gazdar, who was under the scanner of ED was arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
